Job Summary:

Lead a pre-kindergarten classroom by designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum that fosters children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Manage classroom routines, assess student progress, and partner with families to support holistic early learning.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education — required
  • New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) — required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and instructional best practices
  • Experience teaching in a 3K or 4K setting, including curriculum planning and classroom management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with families and staff
  • Familiarity with DOE policies, Creative Curriculum, and Teaching Strategies GOLD (preferred)
  • Bilingual candidates (especially Mandarin, Spanish, Cantonese, or Russian) encouraged to apply
  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that support cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all children
  • Conduct regular assessments and observations to track developmental progress and inform instruction
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with families and provide updates on children’s growth and development
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure consistent classroom routines and best practices
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and DOE-mandated trainings
  • Ensure compliance with NYC DOE, Department of Health, and program regulations
